The short distinction
Search retrieves. It helps locate information or supply that may be relevant.
Generative AI explains. It can synthesise, transform and propose using the context it is given.
Resolution decides what should happen next. That requires an explicit objective, criteria, evidence, uncertainty, authority and a way to learn from the eventual outcome.
Connected Intent is the relationship that makes that decision process persistent. If a person changes one fact, the system should preserve what remains true instead of forcing the person to begin again.
Why “connected” matters
Human intent evolves. A requirement can become clearer; a constraint can arrive late; evidence can weaken; timing can change. A useful system must connect those changes to the same objective and show their consequences.
The connection also spans the path from intent to decision, from decision to action and from action to outcome. It does not mean that every available action is suitable, or that a model can declare its own answer true.
Why this is not behavioural targeting
Behavioural history describes what someone clicked, watched or bought. Intent states what someone is trying to make true now. The two can differ. Connected Intent starts from the stated objective and keeps the resident in authority.
Resident private profiles are not advertising inventory. Businesses may buy aggregate intelligence about where qualified demand fails; they do not buy an individual’s suitability.
Who is building it?
OBVIC, an independent technology company based in Hamburg, Germany, is building governed intelligence for Connected Intent. SINQUO by OBVIC is the resident-facing product being developed around this approach.
